What's New?

Hello Penguins!

Every month there's a party in Club Penguin--this month the team has been working really hard on something we've never done before and it's almost finished! I got a glimpse of the upcoming party (it's medieval theme!) and I'm really excited!! I've never seen Club Penguin look so different! I posted something that the team has been working on so you could have a glimpse too.

The party starts next Friday May 16! I hope you can all join in!

In other news: The Stage was updated today with the 12th Fish play. I totally forgot how much fun it was to dress up as a fish!! What is your favorite part? I heard some of you like taking your script and costumes to other places around Club Penguin and performing there. That's a great idea!!!

Some of you may be wondering why the Switchbox 3000 isn't a part of this play--I heard it could be used during the medieval party...

As always, we love to hear what you think!

Until then...waddle on!

Hi everyone, it's Screenhog!
Last week we launched the Treasure Hunt game in the Captain's Quarters of Rockhopper's ship and from what we heard, a lot of you enjoyed it! Rockhopper is gone from Club Penguin now, and that means the game is gone too. But don't worry, you'll be able to play Treasure Hunt again when Rockhopper returns.

Treasure Hunt, as you all probably know, is Club Penguin's first ever cooperative game, where you and a friend can earn coins together. Here's some behind-the-scenes art from the game:

image001.png
Those are most of the dirt tiles made for the game. Treasure Hunt is a tile-based game, which means that a lot of the art for it was broken up into square pieces that could be used as many times as the game needs them. Each tile was made separately by an artist and then another designer took the tiles and programmed each one to change on the board after each move. Cool stuff.

This is the rough art of the wood fence that surrounds the Treasure Hunt game. After this sketch, an artist put clean black lines on top of it, colored in the wood planks and then it was ready to hold all the dirt tiles!

Oh, and before I forget, thanks for all the wonderful comments about the clothing catalog! We're glad you're having fun with it! There are a lot of secrets in this catalog--have you found them all? There's one that's not an item, but it's still pretty cool!

Until then...waddle on!

Hello Penguins!

It's hard to believe the month of April has already passed--there sure was a lot going on in Club Penguin. If you weren't around, don't worry, there's plenty to look forward to coming up in May!!!

To kick it off, a new wig catalog was added today, along with another clothing catalog update. As always, let us know what you like and even what you don't!

In other news: Thanks for all your feedback about 'Big Screen' mode since it launched earlier this week! We heard from a lot of you  that you would like the option to view the game in the original mode. If you want to view it in the original mode you can now, just click the arrow icon on the top right navigation bar before you login to the game. Big Screen mode will remain the default mode.

Until then...waddle on!

Hello Penguins!

The Book Room story contest starts tomorrow! We know that a lot of you have great imaginations and love to write and many of you have suggested that we run another writing contest!  I can't wait to see who wins!

Here are the contest details:

  • Starting Thursday, May 1 go to the Club Penguin Times and find the contest page
  • Pick a theme
  • Write your story (up to 500 words)
  • Submit it (you can copy and paste into the contest form in the newspaper)
  • Submissions will be accepted until May 7
  • 3 winners will be chosen and their stories added to the Book Room on May 30!

In other news: You may have noticed you can now play Club Penguin in 'Big Screen' mode! It was launched yesterday--something many of you have suggested for a long time! When you login to Club Penguin the view mode of Club Penguin will be bigger than it was before we launched this feature.

To make the 'Big Screen' mode bigger or smaller, simply change the size of your browser window by shrinking or expanding it. As always, let us know what you think!

Until then...waddle on!

Key.jpg

Hello Penguins!

It sure was a long weekend waiting for Rockhopper to hide his key somewhere on the island! Monday is here and if you haven't already started looking for it, you can start now! Rockhopper's key is tucked away somewhere on the island--when you find it you can use it to open the door to his Captain's Quarters!!! Get together with some friends and form search teams to look for it!

I haven't said anything about what's inside his quarters because I wanted it to really be a surprise--but here's a hint: it's something you and a friend can do together!

In other news: The Captain's Quarters isn't the only room that was released today...check out the Migrator for the second room!

As always, as soon as you get inside let us know what you think.

Until then...waddle on!

Hello Penguins!

He's finally back! The Captain has returned from his long voyage at sea and he's going to be around Club Penguin for the next 10 days! He made a big announcement in the Club Penguin Times yesterday--be sure to check it out. It has to do with a new room!!!

There sure is a lot going on right now, and not all of it has to do with Rockhopper. The sports catalog was updated today! Let us know what you think about it!

In other news: Thank you all for your excitement around the penguin party at the London Zoo on May 3rd. There has been such great feedback that the event is now FULL!  Unfortunately we can not fit anyone else into the event.  Sorry to those of you who can't attend, but we hope to do something like this again in the future.

Until then...waddle on!

Hello Penguins!

It's not very often a new room opens in Club Penguin, but I wanted to let you know that a new room will show up sometime next week! It's supposed to be a big surprise so I can't say a lot more than that right now. But if you're on Club Penguin over the weekend you'll definitely hear about it!

In other news: A party to celebrate Rockhopper's return kicks off on Friday. It's only a weekend party so be sure to check it out and let us know what you think!

Until then...waddle on!

Hello Penguins!

Today a brand new mission was released for Secret Agents! It's top secret stuff, and you have to be an agent to get the details! But even if you're not an agent, you would have noticed some strange events taking place in Club Penguin right now with the Clock Tower breaking down--that's part of what the new mission is about! Of course, you'll only get the whole story if you complete the mission!

Let us know what you think should happen next!

Until then...waddle on!

Hello Penguins!

Since we launched the new servers we have been busy making sure things run properly. We apologize to any penguins that have had problems with missing items. We are working hard to get this fixed.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to work out the bugs!

Until then...waddle on!
