Hello Penguins!

The Book Room story contest starts tomorrow! We know that a lot of you have great imaginations and love to write and many of you have suggested that we run another writing contest!  I can't wait to see who wins!

Here are the contest details:

  • Starting Thursday, May 1 go to the Club Penguin Times and find the contest page
  • Pick a theme
  • Write your story (up to 500 words)
  • Submit it (you can copy and paste into the contest form in the newspaper)
  • Submissions will be accepted until May 7
  • 3 winners will be chosen and their stories added to the Book Room on May 30!

In other news: You may have noticed you can now play Club Penguin in 'Big Screen' mode! It was launched yesterday--something many of you have suggested for a long time! When you login to Club Penguin the view mode of Club Penguin will be bigger than it was before we launched this feature.

To make the 'Big Screen' mode bigger or smaller, simply change the size of your browser window by shrinking or expanding it. As always, let us know what you think!

Until then...waddle on!

Key.jpg

Hello Penguins!

It sure was a long weekend waiting for Rockhopper to hide his key somewhere on the island! Monday is here and if you haven't already started looking for it, you can start now! Rockhopper's key is tucked away somewhere on the island--when you find it you can use it to open the door to his Captain's Quarters!!! Get together with some friends and form search teams to look for it!

I haven't said anything about what's inside his quarters because I wanted it to really be a surprise--but here's a hint: it's something you and a friend can do together!

In other news: The Captain's Quarters isn't the only room that was released today...check out the Migrator for the second room!

As always, as soon as you get inside let us know what you think.

Until then...waddle on!

Hello Penguins!

He's finally back! The Captain has returned from his long voyage at sea and he's going to be around Club Penguin for the next 10 days! He made a big announcement in the Club Penguin Times yesterday--be sure to check it out. It has to do with a new room!!!

There sure is a lot going on right now, and not all of it has to do with Rockhopper. The sports catalog was updated today! Let us know what you think about it!

In other news: Thank you all for your excitement around the penguin party at the London Zoo on May 3rd. There has been such great feedback that the event is now FULL!  Unfortunately we can not fit anyone else into the event.  Sorry to those of you who can't attend, but we hope to do something like this again in the future.

Until then...waddle on!

Hello Penguins!

It's not very often a new room opens in Club Penguin, but I wanted to let you know that a new room will show up sometime next week! It's supposed to be a big surprise so I can't say a lot more than that right now. But if you're on Club Penguin over the weekend you'll definitely hear about it!

In other news: A party to celebrate Rockhopper's return kicks off on Friday. It's only a weekend party so be sure to check it out and let us know what you think!

Hello Penguins!

Today a brand new mission was released for Secret Agents! It's top secret stuff, and you have to be an agent to get the details! But even if you're not an agent, you would have noticed some strange events taking place in Club Penguin right now with the Clock Tower breaking down--that's part of what the new mission is about! Of course, you'll only get the whole story if you complete the mission!

Let us know what you think should happen next!

Until then...waddle on!

Hello Penguins!

Since we launched the new servers we have been busy making sure things run properly. We apologize to any penguins that have had problems with missing items. We are working hard to get this fixed.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to work out the bugs!

Until then...waddle on!

Hello Penguins!

The brand NEW igloo was released today!! It's completely different than anything we've done before--it's an igloo with a backyard! There's even fences and outdoor ornaments you can purchase from the new furniture catalog to decorate your new lawn!

I had tons of fun decorating it--but I'd love to hear what you've been doing with the new stuff!

In other news: Don't miss the party next weekend. Rockhopper was spotted in the telescope this week so there's going to be a great party to celebrate his return!  It starts on April 25 and goes until the 28th!

Until then...waddle on!

Hello Penguins!

Last week I posted a sketch from the upcoming mission. Here is another one. The team is just putting the finishing touches on the new mission! There will be a couple rooms you've never seen in a mission before.

Make sure you're totally caught up and have completed the past two missions (Secret of the Fur and Questions for a Crab)--these two have to be completed before you can play the new one.

In other news: I just heard about a NEW igloo design the team is working on! Many of you have suggested it in the past, so I think you'll have lots of fun with it. The igloo will be released on Friday, April 18. Here's a small piece of it.

Hello Penguins!

I wanted to let all of you know a piece of exciting news.

There are kids from around the world that play Club Penguin and this month we opened a Club Penguin office in the UK. We love hearing from all of you and decided it would be a really good idea to have a team totally dedicated to that in the UK.

To celebrate the opening of the office, there is a special event planned at the ZSL London Zoo at the beginning of May. For those of you who live in the London area, and want to check it out, here are the details you need to know:

When: May 3, 11 a.m - 4 p.m.

Where: ZSL London Zoo

Who: Everyone is invited

What: Free access to the zoo, a chance to feed real penguins, and lots of activities (I heard there might even be a 'best penguin costume' contest)

Places are limited, so register early by emailing penguinparty@cowpr.com. We also ask that you don't contact the Zoo directly. They are pretty busy taking care of all those penguins!

In other news: Thanks for all your feedback about the new site! We're still 'polishing' it and your suggestions are a great help!

Until then...waddle on!

Hello Penguins!

What a day! The new servers AND the new website launched! Thank you for your patience while the site was down.

The new servers that launched will help us do some cool things in the game that many of you have been telling us you'd like to see. I can't say a lot more about it right now, but there will be more info about it soon on the Club Penguin Improvement Project (CPIP).

Check out CPIP to find out more about the website redesign and the new servers. There will be more to get involved with in the coming weeks with CPIP.

Let us know what you think of the new site and what you would like to see added to it.

In other news: There has been so much activity around the new site I almost forgot to mention the new play at the Stage. I really like the 'special effects' on this play. As always, let us know what parts you like!

Until then...waddle on!

Hello Penguins!

There sure has been a lot of activity around Rockhopper and his ship over the past few weeks. The Migrator is now complete and today penguins are setting off flares at the Beach to catch his attention. I haven't seen him in the telescope yet, so be sure to let me know if you do! You can help out too if you head down to the Beach.

Also, the Captain's journal will be added to the Book Room on Friday. The journal was lost when the Migrator crashed, but since then it has been salvaged and put back together. Now we can all read up on the Captain's travels whenever we want!

In other news: Earlier this week I let you know that clubpenguin.com will be down for part of the day on Monday, April 14 to launch the new servers. This is just a reminder, that you won't be able to login to Club Penguin between 12 am (midnight) and 3 pm. When the site is back up, the website will look different, but the game will be the same. The new servers that get launched will make the game faster and will make it possible for us to do some new things in Club Penguin in the future.

Until then...waddle on!

Hello Penguins

A lot of you have been asking about the new mission and believe me I have been too! Missions are top secret around here, but I was able to get a concept sketch from the mission from one of the artists. No one wants to ruin the surprise. I know Screenhog will want to tell you all about it after it comes out, but for now, I've only got a bit of information.

Mission 7 will be released before the end of April and is a continuation of the last mission, so you know what that means! If you haven't played the last couple of missions, you need to finish them first before doing this new one.

I've seen a bit of the mission so far and I'm really excited to hear back from all of you about it.

Until then...waddle on!

Hello Penguins!

Many of you have been helping to test the new servers at the Club Penguin Improvement Project and we're finally ready to launch them!  We will be changing out the old servers for brand new ones but unfortunately this will cause some down time.

On April 14, Club Penguin will be shut down between 12 am (midnight) and 3pm (Penguin Standard Time) so we can change out the servers. Its a bummer that we need to do this, but I think the results will be worth it!

When you go to clubpenguin.com after the new servers are launched the biggest difference you'll notice right away is the website itself. The team has been working very hard on a new design for the site. The new servers will also make it possible to do some cool stuff with the game in the future, but all that is top secret right now.

If you want more information check out the Club Penguin Improvement Project at www.clubpenguin.com/cpip/

Hello Penguins!

I hope you've all had a good week and are back in the swing of things after the party last weekend!  This week marks the release of a brand new clothing catalog!  Take a look and let us know what you like and even what you don't like!

Also, many of you have been asking what the plan is for Aqua Grabber and we've listened! Aqua Grabber has been updated today with some new challenges so be sure to check it out!  I've even heard that there might be more levels on the way...

In other news:  If you want to get a sneak peek of the new website design we're working on for Club Penguin, check it out at www.clubpenguin.com/cpip/  We would love to get your opinion on it!

There will be more info on all of these in the coming weeks! I can't share everything now, so there will be some surprises as well.  As always, let us know what you think!
