Hi everyone - It's Screenhog!
There's a lot of Halloween spookiness going on around the island. The Halloween Igloo Contest is starting on Friday along with a new furniture catalog, and the team's even been putting together more costumes for later this month. And speaking of costumes, we wanted to show you a little secret about something we do when we design clothing for penguins.
Remember the You Decide Poll with the rough art of the Gnome costume for the new November Stage? We got quite a few people asking why the penguins are always grey in these pictures. Some of you even asked if it's a new penguin color that's coming out!
It's not a new penguin color... but we do put the clothes on grey penguins for a reason. Grey is neutral - which means it doesn't look strange next to a different color. If we were to use a yellow or dark blue penguin all the time when we designed clothes, we might end up making a lot of clothing items that look really good on yellow or dark blue penguins, but nothing else! Using a grey penguin gives us the best chance of creating clothing items with colors that work on all penguins.

Here are my tips for creating a scary igloo:
1. buy a lot of halloween decorations from the catalog
2. dress scary to make your igloo spookier
3. play some scary music
4. HAVE FUN!!!!

one of my many secrets for costume designing is....... dont look for a pre set costume make youre own! mix and match all different items to make the perfect SPOOOOOOKY costume! i also suggest for igloos is to not use the items for their set purpose use them i youre own way! well i dont want to give out too much so till next time WADDLE ON!
I think it is cool that u use a gray penguin. You're right, it is neutral.
To design my awesome outfits, i choose hair and color first, to make sure they look good together. Then, I add some really random clothes that you would never think of combining. You can get some really cool outfits!

Grey should be a great color.... I think the grey color thing is very ingenious and whats up with the storm in the Dojo? Maybe a storm is coming to Club Penguin... Until then Waddle on!

The secret to putting together a good costume is to try EVERYTHING until you get it just right. That doesn't mean you have to go through your whole closet, that just means pick out the stuff you like and try a bunch of things together! Chances are, you will come up will something spooky, wacky, fun, or whatever you are going for! Good luck, and happy Halloween!

Nice way to go! Almost all the time on my desighning of igloos, I change it according to my mood, slyle, and the time of year. I usualy do a certain type of igloo. For example right now it's a restraunt.

well heres a tip for puttin together a spooktacular igloo: be creative... you gotta put in a BOO somewhere! try using pumpkin lights or red carpets. if u use red carpets u need 14 of them :)
Awesome I always thought how cool the penguin disigns were! Oh and I have an idea for a spooky igloo it would be cool if it would be a scary forest! And I like the idea of mixing costumes! And a custume I would buy is a spider or a bat!

Wow, I never thought of it that way. That's really cool that you guys think of all those little things that make such a big difference! I've played Club Penguin for almost 3 years so far and all the outfits and costumes have looked amazing! Keep up the excellent work CP!

i usually dont use the same color twice. like if im black, i dont wear any other black item (well OK maybe some black shoes...) ; )
Here is a few tips.Get a bigger igloo if you have a small one. Also save your coins to buy lots of furniture to decorate.

Here are my tips! To decorate the most spine-tingling igloo this Halloween, try to use your imagination!!! Imagination is the key to almost everything.
If you haven't got a good imagination, look at other penguin's igloos and mix them together. Or if you have a look in both igloo catalogs, you can get some ideas! Like a haunted resteraunt!!!!

Wow! I never knew that!
Hmmmm I never thought about that. I guess grey is a neutral.
When I make costume first I pick the color.
Then I pick a theme like a bug or a monster or something like that.
Then I take the costumes and mix them up untill I find what im looking for.
And some tips for decorating igloos are: Try renovating your igloo to a Jack O Lantern or a Split level. I would recomend using black carpet or the fall leaves flooring. I think they look good with lots of different decorations like jack o lanterns and spider weds or organs. But the most important thing is: BE CREATIVE! ;)

wow! I think you should come out with the gray color! that would be really cool! Alright its easy to make a costume. Mix and Match or just seriously freak out people by blending in with your suroundings...

Ok here are the things you do...
1.first you buy al the wired stuff
2.then you get your wired stuff and mix them
3.dont forget your hat
then all the wired stuff makes some awsome styles

That is so cool! I'm very creative, and I know a lot about fashion, so I have the perfect advise for someone who wants to be fashionista for halloween: Be yourself is the #1 rule, so put together a crazy, loud outfit, or put together a mellow & laid back outfit...it doesn't really matter as long as its what you want!
For some cool efects, chose an item such as a fridge, put torches on the wall, and put the fridge over the botom of the torch so tha you can still see the top. It makes it MUCH cooler! Waddle on Club Penguin! (Why not chage the name to "Club This is the best Club Ever!"

I thought that was a great idea. For clothing don't try to do what every other person is doing. Stand out and shine.
For the igloo if you want it to look spooky then like before look at everyone elses and stand out and be different.

that's awesome because every day i go on clubpenguin, I'm always looking for a new outfit to put together! i make awesome outfits and i found a lot of ways to where them and what color is best. my favorite penguin color is peach.
try putting on the ninja costume with a black cape and the thunder backround and if you have the lantern pin put it on
wow i think that all colors are great!penguins should use a color that makes them special.
With dressing the pengiun.... try to be creative! use Cloths that arent in the catalog and be yourself!

I think you should makes yourself look like you are wearing a lot of colors! For example, wear a orange hoodie with a green scarf and blue sneakers. Also, have red as a color. That was just a example. Waddle on!
when i choose a good outfit, i turn black (which is as close to gray as i can get), put on the body,neck,head,and other items on, then i go back to the colors and see which color goes best with what im wearing.thx for the info cp, i was a little confused.
when i put on my outfits i try and pick colors that go with the season or party going on at that time. for example around christmas i would put on red and green clothes because those are christmas colors. for the color of ur penguin try and use a color that stands out from ur wordrobe so ur penguin really POPS! so long, charzie

I have some great advice! Buy a big and SCAREY igloo. save ur coins for the catologe. dress up scray. AND HAVE THE MOST FUN YOU COULD EVER HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
