Hello Penguins!

We've spotted tons of construction penguins helping in the Mine! Last week we asked your favorite way to help out when something like this happens, and Iceiceice said:

My favorite job is bringing pizza and other refreshments around to workers! I really like it because it is really good excersise and i love the look on all the penguin's faces when they eat my pizzas, it's a great sence of accomplishment! Waddle on CP!

pizza_chef2.jpg And speaking of helping, since the recent earthquake in Haiti, we've heard from many of you about how you want to help. We wanted to let you know that through Coins For Change you helped donate $322,500 to help kids in the areas affected. Your compassion and generosity toward others is inspiring and is making a difference -- and for this week's question we'd really like to hear ways that you've been able to help others in need.

Write your Reviewed By You answer as a comment. We'll post one (50 - 75 words please) in next week's Reviewed By You. And if your comment is chosen as the feature comment on next week's blog, we'll add 10,000 coins to your penguin account. Don't forget to use your penguin name so we can add coins!

Until then...Waddle on!

I help out others in need because when I was at church Sunday, I donated the money I would use to buy a toy.Waddle On Club Penguin:)

January 21, 2010 12:31 PM

In my Girl Scouts troop we donated all these toys in little plastic bins to children who were at a church and that was going to be their only Christmas presents because their famalies didn't have a lot of money or they were orphans. I really liked seeing the expressons on their faces. All lit up at the sight of all those little toys. Waddle On!

I like to help others. When I see a sad penguin or friend at school I go and ask them if they want to be friends so they will feel better. I also help my little brother by reading to him since he can't read yet. I like to help my teachers at school by helping other students with their school work when the teacher is busy.

I like helping out in lots of ways as a community. A few of my friends and I started a toy drive at our school called 'Toys for Tots' in third grade, and it's still going strong! We donate all the toys to kids who don't have any, and it really feels good to help out those in need.

Keep up the good work helping the penguins !.I help by making icecream for them. Its really fun and ive made lots of new friends from helping them. But also CP's idea for coins for change was a great idea.I gathered all my friends and told them to add some money to help people that do need help. And at the mine I really want to see whats going on there.I think it will be a new room and also one of Helbert's nasty plans ! But my favorite part is when the new clothing cataloge comes out.I think this time it will have to do with cave men or maybe about the flying carpet idea !

January 21, 2010 12:57 PM

I bring food to my church to give to those in need. I am also thinking about starting a food drive.I also earn lots and lots of
coins and donate all of them to Coins for Change.

January 21, 2010 1:04 PM

I donated all of my coins to Coins for Change and it felt really good. I want to be able to gather penguins into a group that earns thousands of coins and saves up for the annual Coins for Change each year! Pass it on!

I am always trying to find ways to help around my community! Whether it is volunteering at an event, or sandbagging to help floods that have happened! The one thing I can do to help other kids as well is to simply participate in Coins For Change! That is something I really love to do every year, and gives me a feeling of happiness! Rock on CP!

When it came to the total, we had raised $598.56! Now, my school is trying to raise a lot of money. So far, I think we got about a little over two hundred. Until then, waddle on!

January 21, 2010 2:33 PM

Well... I've helped people in need when they are really sad when there have been some bad things happening in their family. I go to this place with my mom and we have groups that try to help them feel better about it. January 21, 2010 3:34 PM

I like to help people because it makes me feel good and the people beeing helped. Helping doesn't just mean money donations. You can help people with anything if they need help. When we had the big freeze everyone helped by clearing paths of snow and helping elders walk on the snow and ice. I think everyone should try to help!

Well, first my family and I donated a little money to the organizations who are helping Haiti. Then, student council at my school gave out flyers asking us to donate our old clothes, shoes, and bedding for the Haiti people struggling, and I donated a bunch of old shoes that don't fit me anymore, and also a few shirts that were too small for me. 2009 Christmas in CP I donated probably 15,000 coins or so to coins for change. Every year, I donate old toys and clothes and coloring books to charities. I feel glad that I can help other people.
